Version 1.11.0

Tutti overview

Tutti brings Mac audio and display controls into one menu bar panel. Play audio through multiple outputs, adjust each app's volume, and manage screen brightness without opening System Settings. No virtual audio driver or system extension is required.

Features
  • Multi-output playback with master and per-output volume and mute controls.
  • Per-app volume, six-band equalizer, and Turbo boost on macOS 14.4 or later.
  • Display brightness, resolution, refresh rate, existing HiDPI modes, and main-display selection on macOS 15 or later.
  • Microphone selection and volume, preferred audio-device protection, and Apple Music and Spotify playback controls.
  • Customizable panel layout, light and dark appearance, and nine interface languages.
Pro features
  • Presets that restore outputs, volume, app settings, display selection, and brightness together.
  • Per-app output routing, stereo pairing, per-output balance, and latency tuning.
  • Global shortcuts, desktop widgets, Shortcuts and Raycast integration, and iPhone control with Tutti Remote over the local network.
  • Brightness upscaling on eligible displays.

Latency tuning delays faster outputs to compensate for a stable offset; it cannot reduce Bluetooth latency or guarantee ongoing synchronization. AirPlay receivers cannot join multi-output groups. Display controls depend on the screen and connection, and brightness upscaling can affect HDR content and color accuracy.

What's new in version 1.11.0

Added
  • Change resolution, refresh rate, existing HiDPI modes, and the main display from the Displays card on macOS 15 or later. These local controls are free. Display-mode changes include a 15-second Keep / Restore confirmation; changing the main display takes effect immediately.
  • Brightness Upscaling now supports eligible built-in displays and external HDR displays beyond the existing XDR compatibility list. Each display uses its own route; available gain depends on the display, EDR headroom, and connection. Requires Tutti Pro.
Changed
  • Settings now shows the real menu panel as a companion preview. Switching to another app keeps Settings open and hides the preview; returning restores your editing context.
  • Preview resolution while dragging the slider and apply it on release. Resolution menus group related modes and show HiDPI status, with reference markers to help navigate available choices.
  • Refined display controls and latency adjustment. Follow Built-in uses a native switch; Set as Main Display uses a separate button with a read-only current-display status.
  • Simplified brightness-upscaling notices and aligned failure actions with other panel notices.
Fixed
  • Keep Settings beside its preview when space permits, preserve manual placement, and make menu-bar clicks, shortcuts, and window dismissal behave consistently.
  • Clear an external display's old recovery-failure notice after recovery succeeds, and keep the menu panel anchored when displays disconnect or reconnect.
  • Discard stale resolution interactions after display state changes.
Known Issues
  • Brightness Upscaling can affect HDR content and color accuracy. Tutti does not detect HDR content or automatically disable gain. Capability detection is not a guarantee of compatibility or a measured brightness multiplier; adapters and hubs can change availability.
  • Some restoration, sleep/wake, third-party Gamma conflict, and mixed-display failure/disconnection scenarios remain unverified for this release.
  • Resolution, refresh rate, HiDPI, and main-display changes are local manual controls only; they are not saved in presets or exposed through Remote, shortcuts, widgets, or automation. Brightness group controls, keys, scrolling, Remote, and automation remain within 100%.
